Sometimes I feel like the world is telling us that you can be successful over night, that no matter what you are doing it will cause the right people to take notice and react accordingly. They will find that inner talent and you will become rich and famous. I'm not saying that this doesn't happen but it takes alot more work then mass media would let us believe. I guess I'm still trying to find success in my life - I'm still searching and trying - learning and living. I think that's all that matters.

Is it wrong of me to want another webcomic to release a graphic novel already. No Need For Bushido is super wicked - Joe please release a Graphic novel I will buy it.

Oh yes... Some slight changes to the website, oooo center alignment and a store link. Finished a better version of the "zelda hearts" shirt that Beth is wearing a few comics back. Had requests to put it up, and I will super soon. That's all for now.

I admit to suffering from trepidation today. It is as though I can hear the far off rumblings of the giant’s tread and though it’s still several months from reaching me, I still quake with fear and suffer the dark desire to hide, cowering, under my desk. Perhaps I just want to climb under there and have a Costanza nap.

Nevertheless the one time I look up some gaming news the headline reinforced my desire to duck and cover from all news gaming related. It is as though I am the skeet the shotguns of gaming news direct their malevolent sights upon. And today I took one full in the face… Lord of the Rings Online.

It had to happen of course. I shouldn’t kid myself, and nor should you, that this was inevitable. The iconic, epic bible of geekdom has already been plumbed and sucked at for almost 8 years of mmorpg gaming. I cannot recall the number of pointy-eared versions of Legolas I have encountered or the stout Gimli’s spelled in as many outrageous and exotic ways – but nevertheless still attempting to evoke that pronunciation of the name. Let alone the Arwen’s and the Aragorns. I even had a Boromere at the end of one long and lonely weekend.

But that is neither here nor there. What is at the brunt of this is that 2006 was supposed to be a beautiful year full of sunshine and lollipops. And now we’re getting deluged with LOTR and DDO. Those few remaining golden bastions of our childhood’s yesteryear will be torn from us and pixilated. DnD and LOTR are epics. And in my humble opinion those epics are not meant to be done and re-done by countless players. Screw my humble opinion! In my biased and jaded estimation I demand that these games fail in these genres! I do not wish to run end-game instances time and time again to face Sauron so that he may drop an epic piece of gear for a guildie who hasn’t gotten it yet. Nor so do I desire to stand in line behind all those other Frodo’s and queue up at the elevator to Mount Doom to chuck an invisibility ring into the liquid hot magma.

These things were meant to happen once.

There will be more on this.

My rage has not abated.

Speaking of LOTR - on stage is now officially underway in Toronto. I expect to hear about it touring the country and wrecking my memories of both the book and the movies any time now.
