I have been on a World of Warcraft hiatus for a while, however, I think I’ll take is back up when the new expansion comes out. Just right now my life has been pretty busy and there has not been much time. Kyle is a regular old tycoon of the virtual economy in wow. I have been given promises that when I do actually get back to playing I will have nothing but the best. Remember, you all heard it here. Nothing but the best…

I hope to get some of my other art up soon for you all to enjoy. Also I'm working on some new graphics for the page so bare with the changes... Change is good...

My wish list now includes a Deadpool Movie (who you can play in X-Men Legends 2, however his voice is pretty questionable. Gravelly not stupidly high-pitched) and Dragon Age to be released now all done and beautiful. Bioware has amazed me with each and every game. I get all excited on the inside when there talk about a new game from them. Oh yeah Mass Effect looks wicked also, especially since Sci-Fi is really rare for an RPG. Looks like they will be taking the Jade Empire engine and running it for both of these wicked games.

Who Am I?

I am not 24601. But I am the World of Warcraft player in the relationship. I am not the elite player of the game, but more the casual rampant gold-maker. I have logged more time into my level 1 auction alt “Wallymart” than I have my two level 34’s combined. And I now have about 600 gold as a result. It’s amazing what you can do with the economics of the game if you pay close attention. And it matters. But that is the subject of a different post. For now, let’s talk about how I have recently made my fortune.

For instance. From September to early December I found that I could buy up the low auctioned wool for cheap on bids, not all of them, but a majority of them, and then undercut the highest price by 20 silver and still make a gigantic profit. And then when Winter Holidays hit and people were playing more often I found that the price on wool dropped even further. But rather than try to sell at this lower rate I simply invested further into the wool market. And it paid off. I would hazard I have spent over 100 gold in wool by this point but I have well over 5000 wool sitting in the mailbox. And even though the great and glorious (costly and server changing) gates of Ahn’Qiraj have lowered the price of wool still further I have found that there is opportunity to be made through cross-faction selling.

The Economy of the World of Warcraft is a robust thing, and I know that a great many people out there worry that it will one day go the platinum route of Everquest, but I have a feeling that there are individuals out there of a business acumen far greater than I have even dimly perceived who have determined what tricks and strategies need to be employed to keep price levels in check.

But World of Warcraft isn’t the only pretend economy and “stock” market you can break in on. The Hollywood Stock Exchange is an incredibly realistic exchange that pretends to handle the Hollywood Stock Market. It’s an incredible design and idea where you can purchase stock in Brad Pitt and short Paris Hilton. Go. Take a look. Next time I will settle down and let you know how to make some Hollywood money.
